Octopus Electric Vehicles, the London-headquartered electric car leasing specialist, has been named a finalist in The Customer Loyalty Award at The Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards 2026. The company provides expert advice, smarter home charging, easier public charging, tax-efficient salary sacrifice schemes, maintenance and grid integration, and says that by simplifying the transition to electric it has become the leading one-stop solution for customers.
The business will compete for The Customer Loyalty Award at a ceremony at Grosvenor House in London on 10 November 2026, alongside fellow finalists from across the UK.
Salary sacrifice that widens access
According to its entry, the company’s customer engagement strategy is accelerating the UK’s transition to green transport by removing friction from EV adoption. Its salary sacrifice scheme for businesses makes electric vehicles available to employees for as little as £200 a month, delivering tax savings of up to 40 per cent and cutting 1.5 tonnes of carbon dioxide per driver each year, the company reports. The service spans bespoke payroll integration, home charging, maintenance and expert guidance, and the business says it has enabled thousands of employers to engage and retain staff. A Sunday Times Best Place to Work, it adds that a well cared for team is free to focus its attention on customers.
“Our mission is simple; to make going electric easy, so driving is cleaner. And we know it’s about more than just the car,” says chief executive Gurjeet Grewal in the company’s entry. “It’s about making sure your car works with the grid, not just for you…. That’s the future we’re building at Octopus EV.”
Loyalty measured in numbers
The company reports that prioritising value and partnership has produced tangible results. As of January 2026 it had taken 41,000 EV orders, a 51 per cent year-on-year increase, while expanding its client base by 33 per cent. A 98 per cent client retention rate, it says, shows that businesses stay because of the genuine value provided, while a 4.8 Trustpilot score significantly outperforms the 3.4 industry average. To date, the business has delivered 61,500 tonnes of CO2 savings, according to the entry, and it continues to innovate so that switching to electric rewards employer and employee alike.
A regulated operator with a public record
Public records support the picture of an established business. Companies House shows Octopus Electric Vehicles Limited as an active private limited company, incorporated in 2017 and registered on Oxford Street in central London. According to its website, the firm is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under firm reference number 809736 and is a member of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association. In 2023 the business, part of Octopus Energy Group, announced a salary sacrifice offer for second-hand electric cars through the Octopus Energy newsroom, a move designed to make EVs more affordable and one covered by trade titles including Fleet News.
For Octopus Electric Vehicles, loyal partnerships and cleaner transport go hand in hand. Whether that record convinces the judges at the British Business Excellence Awards will be revealed when the winners are announced in November.
