British Business Excellence Awards announce Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines as joint partners

We are delighted to announce our joint partnership with leading airlines, Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines. The airline duo have teamed up to create a partnership that aims to redefine transatlantic travel, ensuring that sustainability and diversity remain key factors in the business landscape. Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines are proud to be sponsoring the Business Enabler category for our 2022 awards.

What are the awards?

The Lloyds Bank British Excellence Awards ceremony is taking place for the second year running at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel in central London on Tuesday 8th November 2022. The event will be a night for networking, providing attendees with the opportunity to rub shoulders with business leaders at the top of their game – all while highlighting the best of British Business.

The Business Enabler category, sponsored by Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines, celebrates businesses that have an outstanding track record in providing customers with the highest level of service or have an outstanding product that has helped facilitate huge growth within their chosen industry. It recognises the impact of enablers that offer value beyond products, infrastructure and services.

What is the Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines partnership?

The British Business Excellence Awards selected Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines as joint partners for their fantastic efforts in redefining transatlantic travel, with a focus on sustainability and diversity. The airline duo have teamed up to create a partnership that ensures sustainability and diversity remain key factors in the business landscape.

Now that the travel sector has started to open up again, Virgin Atlantic and Delta are growing their network between the U.K. and U.S., including a new, four-times-weekly nonstop service from London Heathrow to Austin, Texas, which launches on 25th May. May also sees the return of flights between London Heathrow and Salt Lake City as well services from Edinburgh to Boston and New York-JFK.

The reaction

Tom Maynard, Virgin Atlantic’s VP of Corporate Sales, says:

“Entrepreneurship is in our DNA, so we’re delighted to be sponsoring the Business Enabler category, alongside our partners at Delta, at this year’s British Business Excellence Awards.  We look forward to recognising cross industry peers who strive to provide their customers with the highest level of service and product invocation as we do here at Virgin Atlantic.”

Nadia Clinton, Delta’s Regional Sales Manager, added:

“Delta is passionate about our support for small businesses and helping them to grow while also diversifying our suppliers to reflect the communities we serve. This is why we’re excited to sponsor the Business Enabler category, with our partner Virgin Atlantic, to shine a light on companies that go above and beyond for their customers.”

Sarah Austin, Awards Director of www.britishbusinessexcellenceawards.co.uk, commented:

“We are so proud to once again have Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines on board. With travel being affected in so many ways over the last two years, it’s really positive to see that airlines are still expanding and, in this case, offering even more routes for those wanting to travel.

“The world, and the businesses that work within it, are well on their way back to normality, with businesspeople travelling around the world for meetings and families being able to travel to see their loved ones. I’m honoured to have Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines sponsoring our Business Enabler category once again.”
